Here are a few photos from Mike Ferguson, our National Field Director, who is on the ground with Bob in Minneapolis. These are the so-called “free speech zones” setup by organizers of the Republican National Committee to keep dissent and disagreement in the distance.
I can’t seem to recall where it is written in the First Amendment where my right to free speech is restricted to a zone in order to make Republicans feel comfortable. As long as a do so peacefully, I should be able to voice my opinion, without being set aside. Isn’t that my right?
Then again, the Republican Party is about to nominate John McCain, who has held absolutely no regard for the First Amendment during his career and is responsible for an egregious violation of free speech with McCain-Feingold.
